Welding on construction sites or in other outdoor locations can quickly become a challenge: after all, the technology needs to continue functioning reliably even in severe weather, restricted spaces or where the weld site is extremely difficult to access. This requires devices that are powerful, practical and easy to use. Fronius power sources for manual welding are suitable for a wide variety of welding processes and applications across a number of different sectors. They are used by industry, SMEs, workshops, agricultural users and tradesmen.
The TransPocket 150/180 is a new addition to the range of single-phase MMA welding systems from Fronius. Welders benefit from its flexibility and the robust housing that reliably protects against damage, even during mobile applications. The TransPocket has a large action radius, as its PFC technology allows long mains leads to be used. As a result it is the perfect companion for construction sites. The energy-efficient devices can also be upgraded with new software and can perform TIG welding to a high standard in two- and four-step mode, not to mention pulse welding mode. Pulsing is now also possible in MMA mode, allowing visually appealing weld seams to be fashioned.
With the AccuPocket, the welder enjoys a full range of movement during MMA and TIG welding. The battery-powered welding system is robust and lightweight, allows users to be mobile, and minimises the need for preparatory work. It also does not need to be connected to the grid. The integrated lithium-ion battery is perfectly tailored to the power source’s requirements and can be charged up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes thanks to a rapid charging mode. When connected to the grid, the AccuPocket can weld and charge in a parallel, saving the user considerable time.
Practical, powerful and quiet – introducing the MagicWave systems for TIG welding. Thanks to their rapid signal processors, they always achieve the exact current curve that allows for maximum arc stability with the lowest possible noise emissions. With their special housing, the devices are particularly robust and durable.
New to the line-up is the MagicWave 230i. It is the most powerful power source in the series and has the widest scope of performance. The multilingual operating concept on the 4.3-inch full-colour display allows for intuitive and extremely simple operation. Using the favourites button, welders can easily retrieve and set parameters that they often use. The MagicWave 190 is ideal for welding materials such as steel, stainless steel or aluminium. A particular advantage: users can expand both devices as desired with different function packages. These include the job function, the PulsPro package to obtain all pulse functionalities, additional data documentation and limit monitoring. The latter aids the user in setting a defined parameter window and keeping to certain welding parameters. An integral part of the new series is also the TransTig 230i. This power source can optionally be supplied with a water-cooling system and is suitable for all welding applications apart from aluminium. Every device is also available as a multivoltage version, meaning they can be used anywhere in the world – even with different mains voltages.
